Given that Wednesday season 3 started up production earlier this year, are we closing in on learning an exact premiere date? Rest assured that we would love nothing more than to see that!
With that being said, Netflix does not appear anywhere near ready to announce something here, largely due to the fact that filming on the latest batch of episodes does not appear to be done! Nothing has been confirmed there but we do tend to think that Jenna Ortega and the rest of the cast will be done pretty soon. Once that happens, everything an shift over to post-production and from there, the folks at the streaming service will be able to announce some sort of exact date.
For now, we tend to think that Wednesday is tracking towards a launch either in the spring or summer of next year, depending on when all of the visual effects are completed and when there is a hole in the schedule. Our general feeling is that something more specific regarding a date will be announced close to the end of the year and from there, we are likely going to be getting some other insight as to what the next chapter will look like.
If there is anything that we can state with some certainty for now, though, it is that Ophelia (played by Eva Green) is going to be playing a major role. How can she not after that season 2 finale cliffhanger? While we’re sure that Wednesday is going to have a lot transpiring around her, we tend to think that the history of the Addams Family is going to prove to be as important as ever.
