Everything changed for Wednesday and Enid
Wednesday and Enid’s friendship became one of the defining relationships of the series, but Season 2 ended with the pair separated at a critical moment. Enid had transformed into an alpha werewolf and was left in a dangerous situation, while Wednesday left with Uncle Fester to find her. That ending created an obvious emotional thread for Season 3, but Netflix has not yet revealed exactly how Wednesday and Enid’s story will continue after the events of the finale.
Enid is no longer the same person
Enid began the series as Wednesday’s bright and energetic roommate, creating an almost perfect contrast with the gloomy Addams. By the end of Season 2, however, her supernatural abilities had pushed her into a much more serious situation. Becoming an alpha werewolf changes the stakes surrounding her character and could force her to deal with abilities and responsibilities she never expected to have. Season 3 therefore has an opportunity to explore a side of Enid that audiences have not seen before.
Wednesday may have to admit she needs her friend
Wednesday has always resisted depending on other people, but her decision to leave with Fester to help Enid suggests that their friendship means more to her than she usually admits. The character may never become openly sentimental, but actions have always been more important than words when it comes to Wednesday. If Season 3 brings the two friends back together, their relationship could look very different after everything they experienced in Season 2.
The reunion could be more complicated than expected
Netflix has not revealed whether Wednesday and Enid will immediately reunite or what condition Enid will be in when that happens. Their next meeting could therefore become one of the emotional moments fans are waiting for most. Instead of simply returning to their old roommate dynamic, the two may have to figure out how to remain friends while both dealing with major changes in their lives.
