Wednesday Addams is coming back — but this time, she may be leaving Nevermore behind.
Netflix has officially begun moving forward with Wednesday Season 3, and the latest updates have fans wondering whether the next chapter could completely change the world of the hit series.
Jenna Ortega is returning as the iconic Wednesday, but after the shocking events of Season 2, her next adventure could look very different from anything fans have seen before.
And one particular detail has everyone talking.
This Changes Everything for Wednesday
For two seasons, Nevermore Academy has been the center of Wednesday’s supernatural world. But Season 3 appears ready to take the story beyond the familiar school grounds.
Production began in February 2026, with filming taking place in Ireland. Netflix has also teased a surprising glimpse of Wednesday near the Eiffel Tower in Paris, immediately raising questions about why the Addams daughter could be traveling so far from Nevermore.
Is Wednesday chasing a new mystery?
Is she searching for someone?
Or could the Addams family have a secret connection to Paris?
Netflix hasn’t revealed everything yet — and that’s exactly why fans are going wild with theories.
Fans Still Can’t Get Over What Happened to Enid
Of course, there is one person Wednesday won’t be able to forget.
Enid Sinclair.
The Season 2 finale left Enid trapped in her alpha werewolf form after she transformed to save Wednesday. She then disappeared, leaving her best friend with no choice but to go after her.
Wednesday and Uncle Fester begin searching for Enid after learning that she may have been spotted in Canada.
And this could completely change the dynamic between the two characters.
Wednesday has always been fiercely independent. She rarely admits that she needs anyone.
But this time, she’s willing to leave everything behind to find Enid.
That alone could make Season 3 one of the most emotional chapters of the series.
Netflix Just Added Another Huge Piece to the Puzzle
If Enid’s disappearance wasn’t enough, the Addams family has another problem.
Aunt Ophelia is alive.
The Season 2 finale revealed that Ophelia has been secretly kept inside Grandmama Hester Frump’s mansion. Then came the chilling message:
“Wednesday must die.”
And now, Wednesday is bringing in a major new star to play her.
Netflix announced that Eva Green will portray Aunt Ophelia, adding another mysterious member to the already complicated Addams family.
Her arrival could be one of the biggest twists of Season 3.
Because if Ophelia truly wants Wednesday dead, fans may soon discover that the greatest threat to Wednesday isn’t hiding somewhere at Nevermore.
It’s hiding inside her own family.
Tyler Could Surprise Everyone
Then there’s Tyler Galpin.
Hunter Doohan’s character also has unfinished business after Wednesday unexpectedly saves him in the Season 2 finale.
Tyler is offered a potential safe space by Isadora Capri, giving him an opportunity to confront his past and decide what kind of person he wants to become.
Could Season 3 finally give Tyler a chance at redemption?
Or will his darker side return?
For now, Netflix is keeping that answer secret.
When Will Wednesday Season 3 Arrive?
Here’s the part fans probably won’t want to hear.
Season 3 is confirmed for 2027, but Netflix has not announced an exact release date yet.
Season 3 was officially renewed on July 23, 2025, and production began in February 2026. That means the new season is already well on its way.
But with so many mysteries still unanswered, the wait could feel painfully long.
Where is Enid?
What does Aunt Ophelia really want?
Why is Wednesday traveling beyond Nevermore?
And what other Addams family secrets are about to be exposed?
Netflix may not be revealing the full story yet — but one thing is becoming increasingly clear: Wednesday Season 3 could be the wildest chapter yet.
