After nearly a decade on the air, one of The CW’s most successful shows is preparing to take its final bow.
The network has announced that All American will conclude with its upcoming eighth season, bringing an end to one of the longest-running and most popular dramas in recent CW history.
The final season is set to premiere on July 13, 2026 and will consist of 13 episodes designed to bring the story to a close.
‘All American’ Is Ending After Season 8
While many network dramas struggle to survive more than a few seasons, All American managed to become one of The CW’s signature series.
The show first premiered in 2018 and followed Spencer James, a talented high school football player from South Crenshaw who transfers to Beverly Hills High School after being recruited to play for the school’s football team.
Inspired by the life of former NFL linebacker Spencer Paysinger, the series blended sports, family drama, and coming-of-age storytelling to build a devoted audience over eight seasons.
According to the network, the final season will feature “13 new episodes bringing generations of Crenshaw and Beverly together for a powerful conclusion.”

The Show Became One of The CW’s Biggest Modern Hits
Over the years, All American evolved into one of the network’s most reliable performers.
The series not only survived major changes in the television landscape, but also launched the spinoff All American: Homecoming and developed a passionate fan base that followed the show well beyond traditional television.
Its success became even more impressive as many longtime CW staples disappeared from the schedule. By the time Season 8 arrives, All American will have achieved a run few modern broadcast sports dramas can match.
