Eva Green has officially joined the series as Ophelia Frump, Morticia Addams’ long-missing sister and Wednesday’s aunt.
And considering how Season 2 ended, her arrival could be one of the most important developments in the entire series.

Ophelia has been missing for a long time, leaving a major gap in the Addams family history.
That changed at the end of Season 2.
Wednesday received Ophelia’s old journal from Morticia. The discovery triggered one of Wednesday’s visions, revealing Ophelia apparently locked away inside a room at Grandmama Hester’s mansion.

Netflix has confirmed that Eva Green will take on the role for Season 3, making the mystery surrounding the character one of the most important threads heading into the new episodes.

She has previously worked with Tim Burton, making her reunion with the director particularly notable.
Burton is returning for Season 3, and he has described the addition of Green and several other longtime collaborators as something that makes the new season especially exciting.
