The Addams family is finally getting deeper
While Wednesday has always been the center of the series, Season 3 appears ready to explore more of the family behind her. Netflix has confirmed that the upcoming season will dig into long-buried Addams Family secrets, potentially expanding the story beyond Wednesday’s adventures at Nevermore.
Ophelia changes everything
The biggest clue may be the arrival of Ophelia Frump, played by Eva Green. Ophelia is Morticia’s sister and Wednesday’s aunt, a character whose mysterious disappearance has been part of the family mythology surrounding Wednesday. Her arrival gives the series a direct way to explore Morticia’s past and the family history Wednesday has never fully understood.
Wednesday may have more questions than ever
Wednesday is usually the person asking everyone else the questions, but Season 3 could force her to investigate her own family. The creators have not revealed what these Addams secrets involve, so there is still no confirmation that Ophelia herself is responsible for them or that she will be an enemy to Wednesday.
