PRODUCTION HAS COME TO AN END

The wait for Wednesday Season 3 has officially entered its next chapter.

Netflix has confirmed that production on the highly anticipated third season has wrapped, marking the end of months of filming for Jenna Ortega and the returning cast. To celebrate the announcement, Netflix also released a brand-new first-look image of Ortega back in character as Wednesday Addams.

In the image, Wednesday sits at her typewriter with the same expressionless stare fans have come to expect from her. It may look like a simple promotional shot, but the choice of the typewriter is already making fans wonder whether Wednesday is once again documenting a mystery that could become central to the new season.

JENNA ORTEGA IS BACK

Ortega returns as Wednesday, continuing her role as the series’ central character and one of Netflix’s most recognizable leads.

She will be joined by returning stars including Emma Myers as Enid Sinclair, Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia Addams, Luis Guzmán as Gomez Addams, Isaac Ordonez as Pugsley Addams and Fred Armisen as Uncle Fester.

The Season 2 finale left several major storylines unresolved, particularly Wednesday’s decision to leave with Fester in an attempt to help Enid. That storyline could provide one of the major starting points for Season 3.

A MUCH BIGGER CAST

Season 3 is also bringing an impressive collection of new faces into Wednesday’s world.

Eva Green will play Ophelia Frump, Morticia’s sister and Wednesday’s aunt. Meanwhile, Winona Ryder, Lena Headey, Chris Sarandon, Noah Taylor, Oscar Morgan, Kennedy Moyer, Andrew McCarthy and James Lance have all joined the cast.

Netflix has intentionally kept many of their characters secret, meaning fans still don’t know exactly who Wednesday will be dealing with when the new episodes arrive.

WHAT COMES NEXT?

With filming finished, Season 3 now moves into the post-production stage. Netflix has not yet announced an exact release date, although current reporting points to a 2027 return.

For now, Netflix is giving fans only small pieces of information while keeping the biggest secrets hidden.

And if that typewriter image is any indication, Wednesday may already have another story to tell.
