Wednesday Season 3 is getting bigger by the day.
Netflix has confirmed several major additions to the cast as production continues near Dublin, bringing some familiar Hollywood faces into the dark world of Nevermore Academy.
Jenna Ortega will return as Wednesday Addams, while a new group of characters is set to shake up the story.
Winona Ryder Joins The Cast
One of the biggest additions is Winona Ryder, best known for her role as Joyce Byers in Stranger Things.
Ryder joins the third season alongside Chris Sarandon, Noah Taylor, Oscar Morgan and Kennedy Moyer.
Netflix has not revealed all the details about their characters, keeping much of the new storyline under wraps.
The secrecy is not unusual for Wednesday, a series built around mysteries and unexpected reveals.
Lena Headey Is Also Coming To Nevermore
The cast expanded again with the addition of Lena Headey, Andrew McCarthy and James Lance.
Headey’s arrival is particularly notable given her history of playing intense and complicated characters.
Her role has not yet been fully revealed, but she will appear as a guest star in the new season.
The Addams Family Is Getting More Attention
The new cast arrives as the series prepares to explore more of Wednesday’s family history.
Eva Green has already been announced as Aunt Ophelia, Morticia’s missing sister.
Ophelia became one of the biggest mysteries at the end of Season 2 after Wednesday discovered that her aunt was still alive.
Her story is expected to become an important part of the next chapter.
Production Is Moving Forward
Season 3 is currently in production near Dublin, with Netflix continuing to expand the world introduced in the first two seasons.
The creators have teased new students, new teachers and deeper Addams family secrets.
A behind-the-scenes image has also hinted at a possible Paris storyline, suggesting that the new season could take Wednesday beyond the familiar world of Nevermore.
A Bigger Season Is Taking Shape
With Jenna Ortega returning, several major stars joining the cast and the Addams family becoming more central to the story, Season 3 is shaping up to be an ambitious new chapter.
Netflix has not announced an official release date yet.
But one thing is already clear: Wednesday is coming back with a much bigger mystery and a much larger world to explore.
