Netflix showed us Paris but gave us no answers
One of the most intriguing details surrounding Wednesday Season 3 is its connection to Paris. Netflix revealed that production returned to the Dublin area but also teased a detour to Paris through behind the scenes material. The streamer has not explained why Wednesday is connected to the French capital or how long the story will remain there.
That makes the location unusually mysterious
Most major locations in Wednesday have a clear connection to the story. Nevermore is the center of Wednesday’s school life, while other locations introduced throughout the series have generally been tied to specific characters or mysteries. Paris is different because viewers currently have almost no context for its role.
It could be connected to a character we already know
That is only a possibility, not a confirmed storyline. Paris could be connected to a new character, an existing member of the Addams family or an entirely separate mystery. Netflix has deliberately avoided revealing the reason behind the location, so fans will have to wait for future promotional material before knowing more.
The visual change could also make Season 3 feel different
Even if the Paris scenes only occupy a small portion of the season, the change in setting could give the series a fresh visual identity. Wednesday’s gothic style against a completely different environment could create some of the most memorable images of the new season.
Why do you think Wednesday is going to Paris, and who do you think she will meet there?
